Through out the Center
November 21st
We will host our 2nd annual Parade of JOY on Saturday, November 21st at 9am. Community groups from across the area will once again join Uptown Village for the Parade of Joy, filling the streets of Cedar Hill with lights, music and holiday spirit. Santa will make his debut in the parade as he is escorted to his new home for the holidays.
-Following the Parade many of the dance groups will perform on the stage- Over 2 hours of perfomances.
-Cedar Hill Police and Fire Departments will host a Safety Fair from 11am-3pm. They will be helping kids make fingerprinting/ID kits, checking child seats in cars, and handing out report cards for car safety during the holidays. They will be set up at The Village Green.
-Toys 4 Tots Car Show-2pm-6pm- will be located on the upper level near Dick’s Sporting Goods. Bring an unwrapped toy as your entry to the car show. The United States Marine Corps Reserves will be here to accept the toys. Vintage cars will be piled high with gifts for needy children during the Toy drive, hosted in conjunction with the monthly Classic Car Cruise In. Guests are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy to donate to the drive.
-Grand Tree Lighting-6pm-8pm– Santa will “flip the switch” to illuminate the 100,000 lights on our 30′ interactive tree. Guests will enjoy food sampling offered by our restaurants, live musie and more during the evening’s festivities. The tree, located in the Village Green, will serve as the centerpiece for holiday decor at the center and is programmed to play a holiday song every 20 minutes, synchronized with dancing lights.
