The Office of Cultural Affairs is pleased to partner with 20 local theatre and performing arts organizations on the third annual Free Night of Theater. From October 1 – October 31 new Dallas theatergoers have the opportunity to reserve nearly 2,000 free tickets to participating theatres. Dallas is one of 120 communities across the country participating in the event, which campaigns to attract new audiences to live theatrical performances. Ticket reservations begin Monday, September 27 at noon!
Tickets will be released in a staggered format, with each weekend’s ticket allotment being released the Monday prior, starting September 27 at noon. Tickets can only be reserved online at http://www.freenightoftheater.net, require a valid and active email address, and are handled on a first come, first serve basis. Reservations are limited to one per household only and patrons are strongly encouraged to visit a theater that they have never attended before. Each participating theatre will set a reservation ticket limit for their productions (usually 2). Once reservations have been made through the website, patrons will be able to pick up their tickets at the will-call window of the individual theater’s box office on the night of the show.
